How Keystone Counseling Can Help. . .
Counseling for Couples
Being a "couple" has a different meaning for all of us. And every couple faces challenges at some point in their relationship. What happens when expectations are not met? What happens when feelings get hurt? What happens when the "honeymoon" is over? What do you do when he or she doesn't seem to hear what you say? What if you had an affair? What if you discovered an affair? What do you do when you "love" your partner but don't feel "IN-love" anymore? And then there's the catch-all problem: We just don't communicate!
These are just a few of the hurdles ALL couples encounter. Counseling can help you and your partner or spouse work through issues of intimacy, communication, boredom, parenting differences, and so much more.

Individual Counseling
At one time or another, a person hits a roadblock on life's path that he or she believes they are fully equipped to overcome only to discover, down the road, that things are not getting better. Whether a person experiences low self-esteem, feels worried or sad, suffers from the loss of a loved one, or wants to find a way to make better choices for themselves - counseling can help.
Counseling for Parents and Families
Kids and teens face more difficulties than grown-ups realize. Bullying, peer pressure to smoke, drink or do drugs, engage in sexual activity at a young age, pressure to play and be good at sports, deal with their parents' divorce, do well in school - and the list goes on. Parents sometimes feel at a loss for how to help their child or their teenager handle difficulties. Parents also may feel frustrated at their attempts to get their kids to listen to them or behave.
Counseling can help you learn parenting skills, reduce your stress and improve your relationship with your kids. Counseling can also help kids and teens learn ways to deal with their anger, cope with step-family & divorce issues, or the loss of a loved one. It can help increase their self-esteem so they are better equipped to resist peer pressure.
